The Kent State field hockey team (1-3) travels to Pennsylvania for non-conference contests against No. 11 Penn State on Friday, Sept. 8 at 6 p.m. and Bucknell on Sunday, Sept. 10 at 3 p.m.
About the Flashes
The Golden Flashes beat Michigan State 1-0 in the home opener on Friday. Freshman Eva Usoz scored the only goal in the 51st minute after taking possession into the circle and finding the back of the cage. Cecile van Eijck made four saves overall. On Sunday, Kent State fell 5-4 in double overtime against UC Davis.
